Mara

The Mara drop earrings are each made up of 10 individual interlocking sections all strung on sterling silver box chain and hanging from a tiny stud with sterling silver butterfly back. 

Each piece is made from native Irish yew wood, either in its natural colour or in ebonised black.  Once cut, drilled and sanded and shaped, each section is polished with Burren wildflower beeswax from my dad's beehives, to seal and protect the wood and enhance the colour and the grain. Like much of my work, these earrings incorporate movement and gravity, and are a treat to touch as well as to look at. 

Each earring weighs 6g and is 7cm long by 2.3cm wide. Comes packaged in a beautiful branded box, ready for gifting.
